Earlier this week, we wrote about Grabby, a rad little Cydia tweak that let you extend the lockscreen camera launcher into a quickbar for up to five favorite apps.

Here’s a similar idea. Atom is an upcoming Cydia tweak that is set to be released this weekend which allows you to unlock your iPhone directly to up to six different apps, just by dragging the on-screen ‘locked’ icon to one of six positions.

The guys over at AppAdvice have a preview of Atom, and it looks great. Here’s how they describe it working:

With Atom, you’ll have quick access to your favorite apps with a new lock screen layout and sleek animations. If you need to unlock your device, tap and hold on the black button to reveal Atom’s layout, then slide it up to the lock in the middle of the screen and release. Alternatively, you can slide the button to any of the icons to quickly launch one of the apps.

Here’s a preview video:

What I like most about Atom it is that, unlike Grabby, it maintains passcode security. You can quickly launch to an app from the iOS lockscreen using Atom, but you still have to enter your passcode if you have that option on.

Atom will be released this weekend on Cydia for $ 1.99. We’ll tell you when it’s out.
