Electronics retail giant Best Buy is throwing its weight behind the iPhone 4S, offering the entire family of Apple handsets, along with deals on previous versions, starting Friday, Oct. 14. All three memory configurations: 16GB, 32GB and 64GB along with black and white models will be available.

Along with the iPhone 4S at $ 199, $ 299 and $ 399, depending on memory, Best Buy will also offer consumers a choice of carriers: AT&T, Verizon Wireless or the newly-added Sprint.

For those buyers looking to pick up an inexpensive iPhone, the retailer also plans to sell the 8Gb previous-generation iPhone 4 for $ 99 with a two-year contract. Additionally, Best Buy reportedly is selling the 8GB iPhone 3GS for $ 49, although Apple announced the handset would be free.

Despite an initial sour reaction due to high hopes fueled by rumors, the iPhone 4S is selling remarkably well. Apple announced pre-orders of the new handset topped 1 million on the first day while new Apple partner Sprint sold out of the 16GB 4S in just a few days.
