Apple Awarded Technology & Engineering Emmy At CES [CES 2013]

Apple was awarded a Technology & Engineering Emmy on Thursday evening during a ceremony at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. Launched in 1948, the Technology & Engineering Emmy Awards honor “development and innovation in broadcast technology and recognize companies, organizations and individuals for breakthroughs in technology that have a significant effect on television engineering.”

Judge Agrees To Re-Examine Jury Foreman Who Awarded Apple $1.05b In Damages

Jury foreman Velvin Hogan.

Judge Lucy Koh has agreed to re-examine the role of jury foreman Velvin Hogan, who found Samsung guilty of patent infringement and awarded Apple more than $ 1 billion in damages earlier this year. Samsung requested a retrial back in October after it became apparent that Hogan failed to disclose details of a lawsuit against Seagate that he was involved in 20 years ago.

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office awarded Apple a patent covering vertical and horizontal UI scroll bars. Yes. Apple has a patent on scroll bars. Apple Awarded Preliminary Injunction Against Samsungs Galaxy Nexus

Three days after we reported an Apple win in regards to the Samsung Galaxy Tab, US District Judge Lucy Koh just handed Apple another, possibly temporary, victory.   In a decision handed down today in California, Judge Koh granted a preliminary ban on the Galaxy Nexus phone. German iOS Users Lose Push E-Mail as Motorola Awarded Injunction Against Apple

Earlier today Apple turned off its iCloud and MobileMe push e-mail services for users in Germany in compliance with an injunction brought against Apple by Motorola Mobility.
