iOS Looks Better Than Android Because Google Doesn’t Take Design Seriously

Nexus-7

While iOS may not be as flexible or as customizable as Android, on the whole it looks a whole lot nicer. Android is steadily improving, that’s for sure, but it’s hard to deny that iOS developers appear to spend more time making their apps prettier, even if you’re a diehard Android fan.

And that was proven when Chris Hulbert, an iOS developer, went to work at Google for three months. In  [Read More…]

Munster: Apple Hasn’t Released A HDTV Yet Because Of Screen Problems [Analyst]

This guy really believes that Apple is making a HDTV.

Gene Munster, everyone’s favorite Apple analyst, spoke at Business Insider’s IGNITION Conference today in New York City. One of the topics Munster hit on was the Apple TV. For years, Munster has been one of the biggest proponents of Apple releasing a literal TV. His most recent prediction pushed the product’s announcement to the end of next year, while last year he predicted  [Read More…]

Apple: Samsung Didn’t Copy The iPad Because It’s Not As Cool (But It Did Copy The iPad Really)

You weren’t expecting Apple to issue a straight and sincere apology, were you?

Having lost its appeal against the Samsung Galaxy Tab in a High Court ruling in the United Kingdom earlier this month, Apple was ordered to publish advertisements in British newspapers and magazines, and on its website, which must say that Samsung did not copy the iPad.

The Cupertino company has now published a statement on its website, and it  [Read More…]

Apple TV Is A Hobby Because It Doesn’t Bring In Enough Profits Yet

During the Q4 financial call today, Tim Cook was asked about the future of the Apple TV and whether it will continue to be a hobby, or maybe something more. Phil Schiller Says The iPad Mini Is More Expensive Because People Want Quality

The iPad mini is a great looking device and all that, but people seemed to be pretty disappointed in the price point. While other 7-inch tablets usually start out in the $ 200-$ 250 price range, the iPad mini costs $ 329 for the base model.

Purple Lens Flare Problem Occurs Because You’re Holding Your iPhone 5 Wrong, Apple Says

Last week a number of people noticed that the lens flare on their iPhone 5 is really purple. When you have an off-screen light source the iPhone 5′s lens turns the light into a purplish hue, rather than the bright white color the light would be when it’s on-screen. All lenses have lens flare, and sometimes it’s purple, but the iPhone 5′s seemed to be more pronounced that others.

Apple Ditched Google Maps In iOS 6 Because Google Wouldn’t Provide Voice Turn-By-Turn Navigation [Report]

Siri can give turn-by-turn directions in iOS 6, and that’s because Google refused to.

Apple’s new Maps application in iOS 6 has come under quite a lot of fire since its public release last week. Directions are wrong. Locations are incorrect. Apple has begged its customers to give the new Maps app time, but complaints still run rampant. The mapping data has definitely changed, and that’s because Apple abandoned Google  [Read More…]

If you’re an AT&T customer, you’ll need a certain plan to enjoy this with a data connection.
