Smart Cargo Adds Smart Storage To Smart Cover

Our serial-inventing friend Dotan Saguy is back, this time with yet another super-smart iAccessory. It’s a little carrying case for your everyday iPad essentials, and it is designed to integrate with your iPd Smart Cover. It’s called the Smart Cargo, and it’s as ingenious as Dotan’s other Kickstarter projects like the Smarter Stand.

The Smart Cargo is a tiny aluminum closet which sticks to the Smart Cover with magnets. It has  [Read More...]

Group messaging has also been streamlined. Facebook says it takes fewer taps to start a group message, and it’s easier to name and find conversations in your inbox.

The iPhone finally gets a working Smart Cover.

We’re huge fans of the new SurfacePad case from TwelveSouth. It’s just like a Smart Cover, with just one drawback: it doesn’t turn your iPhone on and off automatically when you open it or close it.

We hated that, so we figured out a way to turn the SurfacePad, or any other wallet-style iPhone case, into a working Smart Cover just like the iPad has. The hack doesn’t  [Read More...]

Oddly enough, I bought the case for my iPad mini years ago, before even the full-sized iPad was a real thing that existed. It’s the back pocket of my jeans, and unless I’m sitting down or riding a bike, it’s just about perfect. And it’s even Smart Cover compatible.

But there are those who maybe like to protect their investment a little more, or who just really, really hate the sound of exquisitely hewn aluminum scraping  [Read More...]

Nibiqü, A Surface-Like Keyboard Cover For iPad

“Click!” You hear that? It’s the sound of an iPad turning into a Microsoft Surface, with the help of the Nibiqü keyboard cover.

Now that we see it, it’s obvious that this product was completely inevitable. And almost equally inevitable is the fact that it comes by way of Kickstarter.

What many have failed to see is that the Surface isn’t a tablet at all. It’s just a laptop with the computery parts in the top  [Read More...]
