Apple Seeds Mac OS X 10.8.4, Build 12E47 To Developers

Seed OS X 10.8.4 12E47

It looks like another month, another 10.8.4 seed, as a new download on Apple’s developer download site, build 12E47, contains the same focus areas as last month’s seed, Wi-Fi, Graphics Drivers, and Safari.

10.8.4 Developer Seed build 12E36

Seems like Apple is ramping up the developer seeds for the beta of OS X 10.8.4, with yet another release today, this one of seed Build 12E36.

Similar to the last seed, the release notes mention that the focus areas for developers to look at are Wi-Fi, Graphics Drivers, and Safari. The notes also say there are no Known Issues at this time.

Apple has been keeping developers busy with a steady stream of beta builds for OS X 10.8.4.  The latest beta of OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.4 Build 12E33a was just seeded to developers.

There has been an unprecedented amount of drama surrounding the removal of AppGratis, a popular app discovery tool Apple recently pulled from the App Store. An online petition with over 800,000 signatures begs for Apple to bring AppGratis back into the App Store’s good graces. Heck, the French government is pissed. What’s all the fuss about?

Apple has released the first beta of OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.4 to third-party developers. “Please be aware that you will not be able to revert back to your previous system after updating,” warns Apple. “Please install this update on a system you are prepared to erase if necessary.”

Apple is taking its sweet time with OS X 10.8.3. We’ve already had more beta builds than we care to remember, but Apple’s still trying to get the software right.
