Leap Motion Controller Availability Delayed, Won’t Be In Retail Stores Until July

The hardware controller for Leap Motion’s futuristic gesture tech was slated to arrive in stores on May 19th.  Now Leap Motion is having to delay its public release until July 27th. The reason for the delay is the need for more beta testing and integration with partners who will support the gesture-based platform.

Apple To Launch 4K Ultra HD TV With Voice & Motion Control In Early 2014 [Rumor]

Apple is gearing up to send its much-anticipated “iTV” into mass production during the second half of this year, according to sources in the Cupertino company’s supply chain, who have been speaking to DigiTimes. The set will reportedly boast a 4K “Ultra HD” display with a 3840×2160 resolution, and it’ll be controlled by voice and motion.

Unbound Photo Browser For Mac Will Support Leap Motion

Remember Unbound? I called the iOS app “the best dropbox browser I have ever used,” and it’s still up there in the top two (the other is the excellent Heliog). Now — or at least soon — Unbound will be coming to the Mac. What’s more, it’ll be compatible with the neat little Leap Motion box that lets you control your Mac with wavy hand gestures.

Apple Updates Final Cut Pro, Motion, And Compressor With Bug Fixes In Mac App Store

Today Apple issued a significant update to Final Cut Pro that squashes a number of bugs. The 10.0.7 update addresses “overall stability, performance and compatibility” according to Apple, and it’s a free download for existing users in the Mac App Store.

The last Final Cut Pro update was released back in October, and it brought several key new features, including multichannel audio and RED camera support.

Apple’s App Store Worth More Than Research in Motion as a Whole

With a price of $13.44, RIMs stock finished last week at a total value of $7.04 billion, a value less than the $7.08 billion that Apples App Store is estimated to be worth. An analysis from Trefis places the value of the App Store at 2% of Apples market cap.
