Netflix has announced a new family plan that will allow an account holder to have four simultaneous streams. The plan will cost $ 12 per month. A specific launch date for the plan has not been announced, but Netflix revealed the news in a letter to shareholders today.

53% Of Smartphone Buyers Plan To Get An iPhone 5

Android has been dominating the iPhone in terms of market share, but if consumers decide to buy what they really want right now the two platforms’ roles might be reversed. In a new survey, Apple analyst Gene Munster found that 53% of smartphone buyers plan to buy an iPhone 5.

New York has reportedly been pitched a proposal that would see a 3.2 million square foot computer chip factory built in the state… and Government Andrew Cuomo is slyly hinting that the proposal might come from Apple as part of a big to start building their A-Series iPhone and iPad CPUs domestically.

Tim Cook visits Foxconn, where Apple’s iMacs are traditionally assembled.

Apple CEO Tim Cook has announced that the company will invest over $ 100 million to bring some of its Mac production back to the United States in 2013. At least one model will be made exclusively in the U.S., Cook revealed during an interview on NBC’s Rock Center, though he wouldn’t reveal which model that would be.

Following its change in policy regarding FaceTime over cellular, AT&T has announced a new holiday promotion for tablets, including the iPad. Beginning this Friday, November 9th, AT&T will discount any tablet by $ 100 with the purchase of a two-year Mobile Share or tiered data plan.

AT&T received a lot of negative attention in the press when it announced that it would restrict the use of FaceTime over cellular on Apple devices running iOS 6. Instead of letting anyone use the video chat feature no matter the device or data plan, AT&T decided to keep FaceTime limited to customers with new Mobile Share plans.
