Analyst Predicts Demand For LTE iPads To Diminish Significantly

CSS Insight predicts demand for 3G/4G-enabled iPads and other tablets will drop from now through 2016.

Piper Jaffray Analyst Predicts Apple HDTV in December, iPhone 5 in October

Sometime in December. Thats Apple HDTV D-Day according to Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster. Munster in a research note published today believes Apple will unveil their HDTV in December, and ship it sometime next year. Munster expects the television to cost between $1,500, and $2,000 and range in size from 42 to 55 inches. CNET made the comment that Munsters predicted price runs a premium compared to other televisions in the 42 to 55-inch space.  [Read More…]

IDC Increases Its 2012 Tablet Forecast, Predicts Android Overtaking iOS By 2016

Today the International Data Corporation raised its 2012 tablet forecast to 106.1 million units, up from its previous forecast of 87.7 million units thanks to a stronger-than-expected 2011 finish. According to IDC, tablet shipments rose 155%, leading to a full-year 2011 total of 68.7 million units shipped.
