Sprint Reports Q1 2013 Results: 5 Million Smartphones Sold, $643 Million Loss


Sprint has this morning reported its financial results for the first quarter of 2013, and they show yet another loss for America’s third-largest carrier. The company announced a $ 643 million net loss on $ 8.79 billion revenue, though it did manage to generate a positive operating revenue of $ 29 million.

Sprint sold 5 million smartphones during the period, 1.5 million of which were iPhones.

Apple Beats Revenue Estimates With Q2 2013 Results, Sinks Low On Profit


Apple has released its financial results for the second fiscal quarter of 2013. The Cupertino company reported $ 43.6 billion in revenue and a net profit of $ 9.5 billion. That translates to earnings of $ 10.09 per diluted share.

Samsung Reports Q4 2012 Financial Results: $52.45 Billion Revenue, $8.27 Billion Profit


Samsung has today announced its financial results for the fourth quarter of 2012, which slightly exceed the estimations that were set by the Korean company earlier this month. It recorded an operating profit of 8.84 trillion won (approx. $ 8.27 billion) during the three-month period, on 56.06 trillion won (approx. $ 54.45 billion) in revenue. Apple Stock Opens At $457.70, Down More Than 10%, After Financial Results


Apple stock opened at $ 457.70 this morning, down more than 10%, following its financial results on Wednesday. The Cupertino company announced $ 13.1 billion profit for the first quarter of 2013, a slight increase over the $ 13.06 billion it posted for the first quarter of 2012. But despite that increase, it’s clear Apple’s phenomenal growth has hit a stumbling block.

The Holidays were great for me, but they were probably even better for Apple. Fiscal Q1 is when Apple always has record breaking sales numbers, and this year will probably be no different.

Apple’s Q4 2012 Results By The Numbers: $121.3 Billion In Cash And Crazy Growth Across The Board

“Yay, we’re making Apple so much money!”
