Apple’s iOS platform has ticked upward yet again in the US smartphone market share. According to the latest data made available from comScore, iOS now represents 27% of the domestic mobile operating system market. During the previous quarter, iOS claimed only 26% of the market. Third Apple Co-Founder Sold 10% Share of Company 12 Days After Forming

Ron Wayne, the third co-founder of Apple, sold his 10% stake in the company 12 days after it was officially formed in 1976 for $800, plus $1,500 later in exchange for forfeiting any claims against Apple. Apple on Pace to See Products Surpass Laptop Market Share

According to a report in Monday’s online edition of Fortune magazine, Apple may be headed for its largest achievement yet – capturing the majority global market share for portable computers, a broad category that serves as a catch-all for laptops, notebooks, and, of course, tablet computers. Foxconn Will Not Share iPad Orders With Pegatron in 2011

Two days ago Digitimes reported that Apple is planning to add a second manufacturer for iPad in order to creat enough units for the launch of the new iPad in September. The report suggested Pegatron to be this second manufacturer. According to industry sources, Pegatron Technology is unlikely to share iPad orders with Foxconn Electronics This Year. iTunes Has Ten Percent Market Share of Online Video

In a recent survey conducted by Citigroup analyst Mark Mahaney shows what percentage of web users use the following particular online video services: YouTube Facebook Netflix Hulu Apple iTunes Amazon Hint, iTunes wasn’t at the top. Wasn’t in the middle. It turns out only 9.8% of users cited using iTunes for their online video use. comScore Data Shows Apple Overpowering RIM in Smartphone Usage Market Share

Chalk up another smartphone victory for Apple. According to the findings published Friday morning by the folks at comScore, an April survey of mobile phone usage shows that Apple blew past Research in Motion to secure the second spot in the US among smartphone platforms. Apple ‘Bleeds’ 20% of its Tablet Market Share in 4th Quarter
