Apple In Talks to Buy ‘The Fancy’ – Report

Apple is talking to the people behind social commerce site The Fancy, according to a report by Business Insider.

The Fancy is viewed by some as a rival to Pinterest, albeit a much smaller one. However, if Apple buys and promotes it among the gazillions of people who have their credit cards on file with Apple’s iTunes Store, the site could become a major hit overnight.

Apple Held Secret Pollution Talks With Chinese Environmentalists

Apple and several Chinese environmentalists met Tuesday to clear the air on disputes over pollution they claim comes from factories supplying the tech giant with much sought-after iPhones and iPads. Following Tim Cook and Scott Forstall, Apple senior vice president of Internet Software and Services Eddie Cue took the stage to talk about iCloud. Amazon in Talks to Purchase webOS From HP

On the heels of Amazon’s big reveal of its new Kindle Fire tablet, reports have now surfaced that the online retail king is actively engaged in talks to potentially acquire Hewlett-Packard’s webOS mobile operating system, a carry-over from HP’s $1.2 billion acquisition of Palm last year.
